As an adult just learning to play drums, Paul was an excellent teacher. He knew my desire was to get up to speed to play in my church worship band quickly, so he did not insist that I spend time learning rudiments. Instead, he concentrated on keeping time functions with exercises to help improve my weak hand and helping me move around the kit. He was extremely patient with the fact that I had a home life and did not spend nearly the practice time that I should have. He was always very encouraging and we established a long term bond that has lasted long beyond my lesson years. Paul is the consummate professional as both a teacher and drummer. I have seen him play in so many different environments and styles from classic rock, to country, to some extreme jazz and he has always performed at the highest level. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone regardless of style or experience. I really cant say enough about the guy. Give him a try.
