Danzantes De Corazón

In 2011, Danzantes de Corazón was founded under the direction of Elena Hernandez in El Paso, TX. Their journey begin with the simple premise that dance can cross boundaries therby enriching lives. Through dance, Danzantes de Corazón has strived on educating the community on their cultural roots and to have a sense of pride of our heritage. Danzantes de Corazón is a performing cultural dance group that primarily focuses on Ballrt Folklorico, but also integrates other dances forms such as Flamenco & Belly Dance.

Our Director has been dancing for 25 years. Mrs. Hernandez has a BA in Dance & Chicano Studies with a minor in Spanish from New Mexico State University. She also has studied abroad in Mexico, Spain & Egypt. As well as taught at conferences & classes located in various places including, but not limited to California, New Mexico, Texas, Pennsylvania & Canada.
