My god-father started me playing golf when I was 12 years old. I went to win a state championship and was medalist. I went on to play collegiate golf at North Dakota State and then at Texas Lutheran. I turned pro shortly after college and played full time for 11 years. I have won 10 professional events, played in a US open and still like to compete.
What or who inspired you to start teaching?
The 2 most influential people in my career that inspired me to teach are: John Dahl and Jim Barker
What do you love most about your job?
That I get the chance to have a great impact on someone by helping them play better golf.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with small children to older adults. I have worked with people with disabilities as well.
Tell us about your passion for teaching?
I seem to have a passion for not only seeing what can be affecting a person's ball flight but also not giving up on the hardest of lessons. I enjoy the victory that comes from this in both their golf game but my teaching knowledge.
What advice would you give aspiring students?
Practice harder than you think you need to, compete constantly, and follow the practices of what the best players do. If you do that you will be successful.
