I love learning the many different vocal personalities. Each individual brings a unique voice to my piano. I love guiding and watching each voice grow as the individual grows as well. I am honored to be a part of that journey.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first day is really about getting to know the individual and their voice. We select songs based on the student's vocal needs and personalized goals. From then on each lesson looks like this... Diaphram stretching, Vocal Warm up, then singing through songs while applying new techniques.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am Music EC-12 certified and a degree in Music from Mclennan Community College. I have performed in many different venues in many different vocal experiences such as contemporary singing with my ukulele, musical theater perfomances in many different musicals, church choir performances, solo performances and more. I like to teach my students how to be versatile to more than one venue.

How did you get started teaching?
I recently moved to the New Braunfels area after obtaining my BS from Grand Canyon University. I was seeking a Music Education position and fate sent me to New Braunfels Performing Arts. I now act as Music Director and Vocal Coach for the amazingly talented kids there. Vocal students that I teach will have a great oportunity at also performing in the Musicals that I direct.
What types of students have you worked with?
Most of my students attend North East School of the Arts High School, a performing arts school in San Antonio. Students that do not attend this school currently are preparing for auditions into this school. I also work with many students who perform in musicals around the area.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently successfully Music Directed Andrew Loyd Webbers,"Cats the Musical" at the Brauntex Theater in New Braunfels in just 2 weeks. Many students were placed on my vocal lesson roster during these quick two weeks.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Know what type of voice you would like to gain and find a teacher that will coach you in the right direction. Getting along and understanding what your vocal instructor seeks from you is imperative. Ensure that you and your teacher understand and have effective communications with one another.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
When I was a student, I spent alot of time attemping to train myself. Practicing is imperative, However, practicing without lessons could train bad habits and possibly harm your vocal chords. Students should question their practice habits and build questions from there.
