Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we determine which class would best suit that child's interest and needs- parent/child, gymnastics, dance, sports skills, karate or music. Then, using our specialized curriculum, we cater to each child's individual needs, with small teacher to student ratios, lots of one on one time, and combine that with socializing and group cooperation for a complete learning experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our instructors have a background in and go through extensive in-house training for each type of class they teach. We have everything from classicaly trained dancers, to NFL cheerleaders, to black belts, to kinesiology majors on our team.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We have lots of various pricing options available, and pro-rate tuition from when a child enrolls during our year round programs. We have 4, 10, 20, and 40 week options, with savings increasing the longer you committ.
How did you get started teaching?
The Little Gym was founded in 1976 with the intent of providing fun, non-competitive, quality programs for children of all ages. We are the springboard for life's adventures, and all of our instructors bring that passion to each class.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages newborn to 12 years old, from all walks of life! Children who struggle in other programs typically excel in ours because of our unique approach.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our advanced gymnastics team performed before a Houston Astros game- we're very proud of them!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research and make sure they're a good fit for your child's needs. Ask lots of questions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What their child wants and what they want for the child.
