Fred Astaire Dance Studios have been teaching individuals and couples of all ages to dance for the past 69 years. We specialize in social ballroom and competitive dances, including Cha Cha, Bolero, Swing, Mambo, Paso Doble, Waltz, Tango, Fox Trot, Quick Step, Viennese Waltz, Merengue, Salsa, Rumba, Samba, and countless other partnership dances. Students learn through a variety of instructional programs with private lessons for singles and couples, groups classes, and practice parties with a focus on one-on-one dance instruction. This personalized approach allows us to create a tailor-made program just for you, and our welcoming studio environment makes our facility the perfect place to hone your skill, no matter what level you are currently at. We love the fact that we get the opportunity to enrich lives through dance. Earning the trust of individuals and couples, to allow us the opportunity to introduce them to the magical world of Ballroom dancing. Being able to build confidence in individuals and help guide them to achieve things they never thought possible is one of our biggest joys.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We specialize in taking students with little to no experience and creating them into confident, proficient social dancers by customized programs tailor made to each couple/individual.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our instructors are certified and trained in Latin & Ballroom dancing.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with all students. We've had wedding couples, mom and son, father/daughter, youth 9+, single men, single women, etc.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We offer a variety of events to suit all types of students. Short term goals a re very important in a learning environment. We host 2 social parties at the studio monthly for students to have a positive social environment to practice their social dancing while instructors are around to help when needed. We ofer competitions and shows as well to students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It's ok to try a few different studios & instructors out. It is very important to like your instructor(s) and the team at the studio, as well as have fun at the studio. Make sure the studio/teacher has a system for your dance journey.

Time/Schedule, budget, goals, comfort zones, and what do you truly want to get out of your dancing
