I love to help people feel great about themselves through dance. It can be lots of fun, fulfilling, and challenging, but that's what makes life exciting! I have taught ballroom for over 17yrs, and love every aspect about it. Seeing the client finally grasp a new pattern, allowing them to be themselves and break down any inhibitions, having them gain confidence. It makes me happy that they are happy!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start every lesson by asking what are your goals, desires, and what motivated you to get your dancing started/improved in your life. If you already know what you want to learn then I walk you through some of the basic steps in that dance and then if time allows we will dance it with music. Don't worry if you cant dance on beat, musicality is my speciality. Anyone can be taught to find the beat. If you are unsure of your favorite style of dance, the new student package is a great way to try out all kinds of dances.

My fees are based on my quality of work and the certifications that I have obtained over the years. I offer every new student a 30 minute $29 introductory offer.

How did you get started teaching?
Since the age of 6 I loved to dance. Growing up dancing in Atlanta Ga, I loved dancing hip hop, contemporary, but the moment I found ballroom, I fell in love. Later on I became a teacher at the age of 18, and continued learning and improving my skills and competed professionally. Flash forward today, I love teaching my clients all forms of dance, from salsa to getting them ready for an event like weddings or a dance competition. I love helping my clients out and helping them achieve there goals and find a new passion like dance.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught all age types 6-80yrs old. You're never to young or to old to start learning new things. I have also worked with top CEO's, Senators, and former San Antonio Spurs players. Doesn't matter where you come from, dancing is fun!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure your instructor loves their work and it shows. Make sure your instructor has loads patience and doesn't mind repeating things over and over for you. Any hobby or new venture you choose is an investment of time and money. Make sure you, the student, is learning and having fun with your instructor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are you willing to put the time into learning something new? Are you willing to invest in something that will take months to develop and years to master? Are you willing to practice and put what you learn into practice?
