About
I own and operate an indoor golf learning facility in Schertz. There are many advantages to learning indoors. We will be able to work on your swing no matter the weather conditions, your ball flight and distances will be true. You will be taught the fundamentals by keeping it simple. I work with individuals, because everyone is unique. Together, we will build your individual swing!
The greatest joy is seeing a student's face light up when they feel their true swing for the first time. It is an awesome privilege to be able to help people improve at something and watch them progress. My teaching style includes: constant encouragement, showing "Why" we do this thing, strong visual feedback and setting/adjusting goals as you improve. I enjoy helping people find their natural swing!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I treat every new student as a unique individual that I can learn from. You will be asked to swing the way you feel is correct so that I can see how your body wants to move. From there, you will learn the fundamentals: Setup, Swing and How to Play the Game. Because everyone is different, our goal is to find your natural swing that is unique to you by keeping it simple. You will learn how to have fun playing the game of golf!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When I was in the third grade, I would finish all my work before all the other students and then start helping those who were having a hard time. I was promoted to the forth grade because of that and have been teaching ever since. I tutored many of my friends and family through out school and after. I found that everyone learns differently and because of that, I was able to train people when I started working. I became a manager at almost every job I had and some a GM because of my ability to get the most out of individuals. I have always enjoyed studying about the human condition and what makes us tick. In 2009 I earned a Bachelors in Business Management and now run my own business. My passion is teaching and look forward to learning something new from you :)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I earn $40 per half hour lesson. I have package deals of 5 half hour lessons for $175 and 10 for $300. I offer one hour sessions for an extra $50 for five and $100 more for ten hours. I would suggest the ten lesson package for good value, but more importantly, you will get more out of ten lessons. The first five will cover mostly your setup. The second five lessons will deal more with your swing and how to play the game of golf.
How did you get started teaching?
I watched my best friend Richard go from shooting in the 90's, to playing scratch golf, which is shooting par (in the 70's). He did it in one year all on his own, that is awesome good. About two years later, he became a professional golfer. He found on his off time that he could teach the swing, this is rare for any professional golfer. He has made a living at teaching the game of golf for over 20 years. February of 2013 he invited me into his world. He saw technology taking over and asked me to be his tech. I shadowed him for a year and began teaching. Richard is the instructor's instructor, in that, he is always learning, he is always looking for a different way to teach and make the learning process better. Because of that, I will always be priviledged to be his apprentice and you will receive the benefits.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and genders ranging from 5 to 85, there is no minimum or maximum age limit. Students have a variety of athleticism and approaches to the game, and I embrace the challenge of getting the best out each one. We all have unique abilities that sometimes the individual is not aware of, it is my job to recognize them and help you build your natural swing.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a 59 year old gentleman come into my facility wanting lessons. He had just finished playing his first round of golf ever, in a scramble. He explained his performance was humiliating and that he wanted to eventually shoot in the 70's. I explained his goal was possible, but it would take a lot of work. He was retired and was up to the challenge. He was shooting in the 90's after a couple of months, after 6 months in the 80's. He was doing that without a driver. After 13 months of working together, he text me a photo of his scorecard with a score of 77. He was grinning ear to ear holding his card up. He did all the work, I was merely a guide on his journey to find his game. I consider it a priveledge to work with individuals who strive for excellence, who allow me to be apart of their success.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Honestly, it is a difficult task looking for the right instructor. We can tell you how good we are, but anyone can say the right things. We can present testimony from students who reached their goals and happy with our teachings. However, over time, an instructor is bound to have some success. We can wow you with technology, but it is only as good as the individual who uses it. I would advise to try it before you buy it. A good instructor should be able to help you feel positive results on your first visit. You should be smiling ear to ear because you felt and understood something new about your golf swing!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A good question to ask is, "What style/method of swing do you teach"? If you get an answer like,"I teach this swing...", unfortunetly, one size does not fit all. We all are unique and so is your swing. A good instructor should be able to adapt to you by focusing on your unique abilities and teaching the fundamentals. Another good question should be about the instructor's availability. One of the biggest complaints I get from new students who had taken lessons before, is how they had trouble scheduling because of limited availability from the instructor. I am available Mon-Sat, 9am-8pm for lessons and open to special scheduling if requested. Teaching the golf swing is what I do for a living. Good Luck in Your Search and Have Fun Playing Golf!
