TK is a wonderful teacher. He makes something that looks complicated actually easy for anyone to accomplish. He breaks down a painting into little easy steps and at the end it’s always beautiful. I have also learned a lot of new painting skills. TK is super funny and makes his classes SO enjoyable.

TK does an awesome job working with kids and adults! My 10 year old LOVES his classes, and my friends enjoy coming over for an evening of painting and adult time. My 17 year old daughter and I even painted together and now have beautiful paintings together with a memory that we cherish.

Whether you have never picked up a paintbrush, feel you are not good at painting or have taken a hundred classes before, TK’s classes are for people at all levels, my 7 year neice joined and kept up. TK guides you through each step of the way and you’ll be proud of your peice. For me there is the added bonus that art is a great therapy and TK’s interraction, patience and humour makes his classes fun and rewarding, he is a great teacher! I throughly enjoyed the experience and learn something new each time. TK was patient and great at explaining things. No pressure or expectations from peers or teacher, just have fun. Even my children followed along. Great to have a hobby and make time for self. A big thumbs up at my end.

Ballroom dance teacher for 6 years and own my own dance studio.

$10 per person for a group or $25-35 for private.
How did you get started teaching?
Substituted temporarily until I found a "real" job but then ended up seeing a need for quality teachers so went back to school to get certified.
What types of students have you worked with?
Pretty much everyone.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love it went students get excited about their work and are surprised how well they did.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Fun, knowledgeable and good communicator.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How do you learn best? Hands on? Taking notes? Talking? Seeing examples? One on one? Etc.
