Jackson is amazing! So glad we found him. My daughter started lessons at 16, and is learning a lot. Jackson does a great job keeping me up to date how she is doing.
He even volunteered to help us look at a used drum set, and actually helped us bring them home and set them up. Outstanding !!

Jackson’s great! He’s patient and able to present ideas and techniques I struggle with in different ways for me to understand. He’s always positive and encouraging, and also willing to work with my schedule. My bass lessons with Jackson are so fun and I definitely recommend working with him!

Jackson is the perfect teacher for my son. He is not only knowledgable about many different styles of playing, he can play anything my son wants to learn. After my sons lessons he comes home excited about what he is playing.

Jackson provides clear and easy to understand lessons, he explains things in ways that allow anyone on any level to understand what hes talking about. The way he gives examples on how to do things will ingrain it into your mind. Its been months since Ive had lessons from him, but I still remember everything he taught me and how to go about doing it. Doesnt matter what style you want to play, hell figure out a way to help you even if it isnt his forte. I wanted to learn Death Metal drumming, but he isnt a huge metal drummer himself. Yet he still provided great lessons that helped me in the long run with grooves, fills, and chops. Which is all essential in any style. He gave me some useful pointers as well for double bass techniques. All around great teacher, very easy to get along with too. Lessons can be very fun and humurous, and there is still much room to take things seriously as well. 100% recommended!

Find a teacher that understands your learning process and can adapt accordingly! I personally am somewhere between a visual and auditory learner, so the best way for me to learn something is a hybrid of videos and practice. Some of my students are purely visual learners, so I give them online access to help learn their favorite songs by reading tabs and sheet music.

Many students I teach are not familiar with Music Theory and feel that they don't belong in the music world - but that is just not true! Jimmy Hendrix, widely agreed to be the greatest guitarist and pioneer of rock music, never learned to read music. What's stopping you?
