About

Iyonna Herbert has over ten years of performing experience in jazz, r&b, pop, wind band, and orchestra. In 2017, Iyonna had the opportunity to perform in Amsterdam. She has served in music leadership positions such as section leader, music director, conductor, arranger, instructor – and most favorably – the drummer. Iyonna Herbert will graduate from Snow College with a Bachelor of Music with Emphasis in Commercial Music this Spring.

I love giving back to the community in a way that stimulates creativity, productivity, and expression, through an art that all can feel.

    Frequently asked questions

I graduated from a creative arts high school in 2017 and I will graduate this spring with a Bachelor of Music with emphasis in Commercial Music.

I typically charge $20 an hour.

When I would return home between semesters, I would teach free music theory and drum lessons to students at my old high school and I enjoyed it!

I have taught students with no experience to students with some experience. The youngest student I have taught was 4 years old.

It is important to set goals and discuss them with your teacher. Goals may include learning to read music, learning a specifc genre, or just learning basics of the instrument.
