Hi!! I’m Syd!! I’m currently a senior at Weber State University finishing my Bachelors Degree in Dance Education. I am knowledgeable in rhythm tap, broadway tap, ballet, modern contemporary, and jazz dance styles as well as partner dancing. I dance with Weber State University’s Dance Program every semester and have also choreographed a rhythm tap & jazz piece for Weber State University in April 2025 with a cast of 14 dancers in the span of 2 months. I’ve also been country swing dancing for over two years now and opened my own swing dance business, Bunkhouse Swing, in July 2025 where I teach partner lessons and host social dancing every Friday night in Salt Lake City. I also have teaching experience teaching jazz at a studio in Layton, teaching my Weber State cast how to tap dance, and as a learning assistant for Weber State’s Math Through Movement class for a year.
I feel that my strengths are being personable, practicing great communication, creating content that people feel and look amazing doing, being able to teach using multiple learning styles, and being open to other’s ideas!! I LOVE teaching any style of dance and hope to own my own dance studio one day!!
