About
Hi! Welcome to RL Voice & Performance Studio. I'm Rozee! Indie Artist, Accomplished Songwriter and Vocal Instructor. I have been a vocal instructor for a little over 3 years now and have over 7 years experience as a professional vocalist and songwriter.
My journey as an instructor began in Los Angeles and I'm now offering my services in the DMV area. I have taught some of the most amazing students and worked with talented artists, writers and vocalists from all around the world.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Ryan Tedder of One Republic through my participation on NBC Songland. I went on to win my episode and through the show I now have a #1 record on Billboard and Apple Music Charts alongside Leona Lewis, Cali y El Dandee (Despacito) and Latin Pop Star, Juan Magan. Songland has been an amazing opportunity and I hope to be able to share my talents and experiences with other musicians, vocalists and songwriters who are pursuing a career in music.
I offer vocal lessons, career coaching and songwriting assistance.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to gage what a student knows, what they are trying accomplish and how dedicated they are to their craft. this includes getting to know a student one on one and writing down strengths and weaknesses. You have to know where you are to know where you're going.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching after some songwriting sessions with artists in LA. There are lots of people with talent who may think getting in a recording booth makes you a great artist/performer. But you have to deliver on stage as well. It's important to know how to breathe, give cues to a band, connect with the audience, and deliver a great performance, so that your fans and supporters keep coming back to your shows.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all levels. Some who had little to no knowledge of what it takes to be a vocalist. Some who were very experienced.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to mess up. When I was a vocal student I thought that I knew all that there was to know about "singing". I thought I had to be "perfect" for my coach. But your time with you coach IS the time that you want to make mistakes. My vocal coach introduced me to another side of training my vocals so that I would be skilled when I stepped up to a microphone. Loosen up and Learn.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about why you want to improve yourself as a vocalist or performer. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
