Cucina Italiana
About
I've lived and worked as a chef for nearly 15 years in Italy. I recently returned to Seattle where I am originally from. In Florence Italy I discovered that I have a knack for and really enjoy teaching and entertaining. The cooking class I taught in Florence became the number one tour in the world on Trip Advisor. Let's cook Italian together!
My favorite thing about teaching Italian food is meeting new people and being able to impart knowledge that people can use in their daily lives. I hope people leave experiences with me happy, more knowledgeable and inspired to get creative in the kitchen. I know there's a lot of competition out there, but I want you to know that I take your satisfaction very seriously and am focused on creating a special experience with you. Give me a chance, you won't regret it!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work a lot with couples for a Italian cooking "date night".
With any new students I focus on the basics of Italian cooking: simple time proven flavor combinations, easy to follow thorough directions, tips and tricks, answers to questions and troubleshooting.
My goal is to walk you through our chosen dishes so that you will develop the confidence to recreate them in the future...or even better take what you have learned and use it to create new dishes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the School of Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Seattle in 99'. Since then I have worked my way up in many fine dining restaurants, hotels and I owned my own catering company. I left my life in Seattle in 2007 when I had the opportunity to move to Tuscany Italy. There I had a wonderful adventure where I worked in a number of establishments from mom and pop restaurants to high end Michelin level cuisine. The bottom line in Italy is flavor. It has to taste good, I focus on the flavor first and once that is accomplished we'll work on presentation.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
There are different variables here for pricing:
What you want to make?
Is it in person or remote?
Am I providing the ingredients or are you doing the shopping?
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching as soon as I began working in culinary establishments as you often need to teach other cooks how to make different recipes. I have been professionally teaching students from 2015 to 2020 in Florence Italy. Now I live in the Seattle area.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and cooking abilities. In Florence I worked 6 days a week with new students from all over the world and I have a good understanding of what people want and I have a strong sense of customer service. It's in my interest that you are satisfied. I want you to have a great unique experience!
