I have 13 years of experience as a dance teacher of many dance styles, such as: ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater, and tap. I have been a competitive coach for the past 9 years and truly love to see my students become the best versions of themselves in their dancing and in life.
I love seeing students progress and the genuine pride they possess after achieving their goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically begin with a conversation about prior dance experience with the student, then proceed to develop a syllabus after that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been dancing for the past 25 years in a studio environment, training in any styles possible in order to be as versatile as possible. I have been trained through the Pacific Northwest Ballet Teachers training and have attended the Dance Teacher Summit in Long Beach California. I continue my training as an instructor at conventions throughout the PNW such as Nuvo, 24seven, NYCDA, etc.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, I generally charge 50 per hour or 30 for a half hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I began as a student teacher at my home studio and progressed to be a part of the faculty at various studios.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have trained students as young as 3 up to students that were well into their 60s.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently moved from the East Side of Washington state to the West, having to leave students that I have been training for the past 9 years. They made me a quilt with little notes from each of them on each quilting square, it was a lovely and tangible way that I knew I had made a difference in their lives.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be sure to do your research and know what you need/want.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Honest answers as to their ability and amount of training.
