About
Specialize in exercises for those that are self taught or are unable to read music. I am endorsed by Soultone Cymbals, DC California drums and Xcel drumsticks. I've been playing for about 30 years and I am the drummer for Seattle upcoming band Drastic Down.

Helping other drummers skip some of the bad habits before they develop. I particularly enjoy bringing out the beast in young players and witnessing their growth moment that elevates them to the next level.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Confirm that they "fit" for you and your goals and desires. Many factors are important. For instance, do you want to learn how to read sheet music? Some people learn better in some ways vs. others. So figuring out your strong point to excel is important. Be honest about these things if you wish to have the best results.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure you have the ability and drive to practice. You do not need a drum set to get started or to practice these days. Nothing comes easy with musical instruments. It requires practice but your expectations are not nearly as important. It's important that you learn things but you most likely will never be satisfied with your progress until the moment happens. You will know it and feel it. Then you move to the next level. Putting time stamps on this period of time will be negative.
