Steph Quan Tennis Lessons
About
I have a deep understanding of how to make a truly efficient stroke from scratch, as well as the nuances of how footwork, body positioning, and using the natural flow of your momentum creates power and control. Less is more, an effortless basic stroke and efficient movement will elevate every dimension of your game. I teach my students how to see the court in 3D instead of just a baseline game. I stress the importance of a strong mental game, because no matter how pretty your technique is, that is the determining factor between winning and losing. Finally, I want to impart on my students the joy of competing, and the thrilling personal growth that comes from pushing your limits against someone else's.
I've played tennis for 22 years, and taught for 10. I started for a top NCAA D2 school in college in both singles and doubles, and was an All- American. I've worked with players of all ages, from kids as young as 4 to seniors of 70. I've also worked with all ability levels, from the beginners starting from scratch, to the bearers of bad habits, to the advanced tournament players who competed at the state, national, and international stage, many of who went on to play in college. Besides teaching singles, I have taught many doubles clinics and I love breaking down technique and strategy to level up your game.
