About
As a local chef in Seattle for over 21 years, I have owned and operated an iconic Italian restaurant on Capitol Hill called Osteria La Spiga. This restaurant has flourished due to many factors not the least of which my passion and dedication to serving the authentic Italian cuisine that I experienced while living in Italy. It means a lot to me that my customers can appreciate these true flavors, but it means even more to me if they are striving to cook in the same way at home. I have taught numerous classes over the years for adults and kids on the subjects of hand made pasta, Italian foods and desserts, healthy recipes for special dietary needs as well as basic cooking skills. As an added bonus, I have appeared on the Food Network for an episode of Iron Chef America (2009) as well as Guys Grocery Games (2017). I look forward to meeting you and understanding how we can partner to get you cooking delicious and nutritious foods!
I am very passionate about teaching people how to cook because cooking is a fundamental skill that gets lost in the shuffle of our busy lives. Cooking more at home leads to better overall health and good health is also very important to me. I love to teach people that healthy foods can also be delicious if you know how to prepare them properly.
