Founded in 2008, Bahia in Motion champions the Afro-Brazilian culture in Seattle, WA, and surrounding areas. Co-creators Daniel and Aileen Nery dos Santos, having met in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, specialize in Brazilian dance and Capoeira, offering classes and workshops that emphasize both physicality and cultural history. With partnerships with esteemed organizations like Pacific Northwest Ballet and Spectrum Dance Theater, Bahia in Motion provides an engaging, rigorous workout, commended for its innovative and friendly environment.
