Hi, my name is Bailey McCully, and I'm a teacher with a different vision: I teach in a way that empowers my students to be themselves adn find their voice in whatever they're learning with me. We learn by exploring, by making mistakes and valuing those just as much as the successes, and by maintaining a courageous curiousity that makes learning sustainable. My classes are about the student and their experiences, and the results are happy students who are truly engaged and excited about my classes. So, I can't wait to move and groove with you!
Working with students and seeing their growth over time is so special. I've worked with all ages of students over the years and truly every breakthrough and "ah-ha moment" is so magical.
I've especially loved working with dance couples who are both brand new to dancing and both getting to know them and seeing the couple get to know each other in a new way.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I'm working with a new-to-me dance student(s), our first lesson will be a lot of dancing together and talking about what makes this student excited about dancing and what they want to learn. These conversations will help me shape a cirriculum that's specific to their interests and needs.
If a student is brand new to dancing, then we start learning basics right away which means dancing and having FUN right away!
Acting students will usually send me a video monologue or two before our first lesson and then we will work and plan based off what I see and what interests are communicated to me.
