Moving Minds Dance believes all things can be learned through dance, so our classes focus on connecting children to their world through movement. We can dance about anything from science and math to histories and stories!
Moving Minds director Ciara McCormack Greenwalt has over 10 years of teaching experience, and loves working with children ages 2-8. She is a graduate of the Washington State Teaching Artist Training Lab and serves as President of the Dance Educators Association of Washington.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Moving Minds programs come in all shapes and sizes. Whether I am starting to work with a new group or adding a new student to a group I already know, I love to take time to get to know each and every student- what they like to be called, what makes them smile, and what supports they might need to have an amazing class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BFA in dance from Stephens College, and have continued my education in my professional career.
I am a graduate of the Washington State Teaching Artist Training Lab and Summer Dance Institute for Teachers.
I also frequently attend (and organize) conferences as president of the Dance Educators Association of Washington.

Pricing can vary depending on the budget of the organization or family I am working with and the needs of the program.
How did you get started teaching?
My first teaching job was my senior year of high school, when I was hired by a family friend to tutor her daughter in ballet. I co-taught a Saturday morning class my freshman year of college and subbed at my studio after I graduated. I have taught in

I love working with preschool and early elementary aged students best, ages 2-8. But I can happily work with students of all ages!
