About

Moving Minds Dance believes all things can be learned through dance, so our classes focus on connecting children to their world through movement. We can dance about anything from science and math to histories and stories!

Moving Minds director Ciara McCormack Greenwalt has over 10 years of teaching experience, and loves working with children ages 2-8. She is a graduate of the Washington State Teaching Artist Training Lab and serves as President of the Dance Educators Association of Washington.

I love seeing children's faces light up with the joy of movement and wonder of discovering something new about their world! I love making students laugh and leaning into our sense of play and silliness.

Our daughter just loved Moving Minds with Ciara - she was delighted every session, and we (as parents) loved the creativity and thought put into each lesson plan, and how it worked to engage her on so many levels, physical and mental. And just how full of joy each session was! Thank you for a wonderful fall season.

Frequently asked questions

Moving Minds programs come in all shapes and sizes. I am a graduate of the Washington State Teaching Artist Training Lab and Summer Dance Institute for Teachers.

I also frequently attend (and organize) conferences as president of the Dance Educators Association of Washington.

Pricing can vary depending on the budget of the organization or family I am working with and the needs of the program.

My first teaching job was my senior year of high school, when I was hired by a family friend to tutor her daughter in ballet. I co-taught a Saturday morning class my freshman year of college and subbed at my studio after I graduated. I have taught in

I love working with preschool and early elementary aged students best, ages 2-8. But I can happily work with students of all ages!
