About
My instructional style utilizes building a drumming or linguistic vocabulary of rudiments and applying them to the songs/languages that interest students most.
I enjoy facilitating "ah ha" moments: being present when an individual overcomes a challenge and rediscovers their inner potential.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always enjoy learning what interets students most. Once I've been informed about what it is the student hopes to learn, what music they listen to, and who their favorite drummers are, I'm able to craft a unique learning experience that relfects the individuality of each learner and their unique process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was raised by professional flamenco musicians, have been immersed in the performance and entertainment industry my entire life and have as well studied drumming at the university level. I offer lessons in Spanish and English. I have also taken various certification programs such as TESOL where I recieved special teacher training and education theory which has further helped me to understand the unique process everyone undergoes when in a learning environment.

How did you get started teaching?
Upon completion of my studies with master drummer and educator Brian Kirk in 2004 (drummer for Lou Donaldson, The Pointer Sisters, to name a few...), I began to offer both private lessons and lecture/demo workshops.
