About
I hold the space for people to find their voices and vocal autonomy in not only singing lessons but in life.
My teaching uses simple vocal function pedagogy for all genres of contemporary commercial music and the philosophy of "teach not tell" making the practice of singing accessible to all.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's in Vocal Jazz performance and a Master’s in Music with an emphasis on Music Education.
My master's thesis, “Vocal Pedagogy With the Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) Singer,” presents extensive evidence of the lack of vocal and genre inclusivity in most university's pedagogy curricula and includes curriculum for vocal pedagogy for CCM styles taught within the university systems.
My thesis and teaching are rooted in the teaching of Vocal Function from Cornelius Reid and expanded upon by Jeannette LoVetri, the creator of Somatic Voicework ™. Of which I am certified in all levels 1-3 of Somatic Voicework ™.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer forty-five-minute lessons and hour-long lessons. My pricing is $70 for forty-fiive- minutes and $90 for hour-long sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching for seven years. I began teaching piano and voice at Off the Wall School of Music in Seattle. I then began coaching at Eckstein Middle School in Seattle and opened my own studio while working on my Masters program in fall of 2019-2022
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, all vocal ranges. But my favorite is working with middle school and high school students and adults who thought they could never sing!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My student of 6 years senior vocal recital where she performed 12 pieces with various accompanists.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask them how clear and concise their approach to pedagogy is especially to non-singers and if they are continuing to learn and improve their own teaching. And do they functionally understand what contemporary commercial genres of music need to sound stylistically appropriate?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make note of any goals they have within those needs and then think about how they would like to be supported. Any language you can give around that is helpful.
