Glow Children's Dance Studio

Fireflies – 2-year olds.  Fireflies is designed to develop gross motor skills and movement creativity, physical development and body awareness.  This will be a basic introduction to tap and ballet while learning numbers, colors, shapes and songs.

Twinkles – 3 & 4 year olds.  Twinkles is a beginning tap and ballet class.  Dancers will learn the basic steps and terminology in both forms of dance by blending numbers, colors, shapes and words to enhance the learning experience.  

Sparkles –  5 & 6 year olds.  Sparkles class teaches both tap and ballet in a fun and creative way.  Sparkles are introduced to a more formal dance technique while blending educational activities and dance combinations.  This class will lay the foundation for successful dancers for years to follow.  Students will work on beginning rhythm and dance terminology.

7 & 8 year olds.  This class is essential for dancers who want to develop their skills in ballet technique.  Dancers will focus on Barre center and cross floor work with an additional focus on terminology, strength and grace. The tap portion of this class class will focus on rhythm, coordination, and terminology. Tappers will learn what sounds can be generated with different styles and movements.  Tap exercises and combinations will focus on ankle and knee flexibility and strength.  

Glimmers Ballet –  9-12 year olds.  In this class dancers will develop a more complete understanding of ballet technique.  Emphasis will be placed on proper terminology and alignment while increasing strength and flexibility.  It is recommended that students have prior dance experience, but not required.  

Glimmers Tap – This class is designed to develop rhythm, style and sounds.  Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knees and ankles, coordination and speed of movement.  This class emphasis is on producing clear tap sounds and challenging combinations.  

☆Miss Darcy- Founder and  Dance Teacher☆
Miss Darcy began her dancing career at the age of 4 when she enrolled in Ballet and tap. A year later she added gymnastics to her love of dance. It became a focal point in her life as she grew to love tap and ballet. Eventually she owned a mobile dance franchise and taught dance and gymnastics to children for more than 10 years. She was featured in Entrepreneur Magazine as a successful young business owner and was a franchise representative at the NAEYC (National Assoc. for the Education of Young Children) in Las Vegas. During this time, Miss Darcy inspired more than a thousand students to grow and learn through dance and gymnastics. During her ownership of the mobile dance franchise, she grew to love the children she taught and helped develop through tap and ballet.
Miss Darcy opened a new dance studio called GLOW Studio on April 4th 2016 and is once again inspiring young students to find joy and growth through Dance. Each Sunday, she is also active in teaching 3 and 4 year old children at her church. Children love her as much as she loves them. Miss Darcy has taken her passion for tap and ballet and developed an educational and fun studio where the children learn the “see, say, hear, do” method. GLOW Studio has been a huge success and Miss Darcy couldn’t be more proud of her students and the growth that they have experienced through dance.

$35-55 per month per class average plus a $25 Glow Leotard/Reg Fee not including constume fees for Christmas and Summer Shows.
