Patience! While I have high expectations for all my students, I understand that everyone learns at their own pace. At the end of the day, your dance experience is YOURS! As such, you should be enjoying, or at the very least appreciating every step of the way.
I enjoy watching students embrace themselves and their unique learning processs. Dance is an emotional experience; you're forced to learn a lot about yourself in a relatively short amount of time. The beautiful thing about a dance based learning expereicene, is that growth can be seen and felt almost immediately. You are able to see yourself improving, you can feel yourself being able to execute movements faster and sharper than you could before.

I like to get a brief background of the client; previous dance experience, any physical limitations or concerns and what would be considered a successful conclusion to our time together. From there we would go over the fundamentals and the basic steps of the desired movement form. Each class would adapt to the learning style and speed of the client.
