About
I teach flexibility and pole dance/sport primarily. Many people would like to become more flexible and for as long as I can remember I've been asked for help getting there.
Who: everyone! Students tend to be dancers, cheerleaders, circus perfomers, artists of some kind whose flexibility goals related directly to their aesthetic appeal and level of performance. However, most people, especially adults as we age, can benefit from safe flexibility training and core stabilization practices.
I love being able to get real results for my students. I've helped many students achieve their first successful inversion in pole/aerial and shown many that they can do a split more easily than they expected. One thing I've learned for myself over many years of doing dance and acrobatic related activities is that approach matters. Specific preparation exercises and conditioning matter. Adjunct activities matter. Considering body type and fitness matter. For example, you can change one thing about someone's backbend to increase it by 20 degrees. And attempting to learn back tucks without any power training for legs, glutes, core is likely to fail.
I like being able to provide the right next steps for students who truly wish to improve.
