Monona Academy of Dance, founded in 1948 and located in both Madison and Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, is dedicated to introducing students to the art of dance, either for pleasure or to pave a solid foundation for a professional career. The academy boasts a prestigious alumni and offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip-hop, taught by a professional, experienced faculty. Monona Academy also has a non-profit pre-professional dance company, Dance Wisconsin, the only member of Regional Dance America in Wisconsin. It prides itself on creating environments that foster self-esteem, discipline, and positive influences.
