About
My goal as a teacher is to give each of my students the tools and skills that will help them excel as a musician. I do this by tailoring lessons around what each student wants to learn along with giving them the technique and knowledge that each drummer needs to succeed. To help with learning after the lesson students receive personalized YouTube videos on what they learned, each week. This helps with practicing and with helping them to grow each week.
The most exciting thing I love about teaching is getting to know my students and watching them grow as a player. By getting to know my students I get a greater understanding on what they want to learn from taking lessons and how I can help them succeed at their goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With every new student I have I get to know them, what grade they are in, their profession, hobbies, and most of all what they would like to get out of lessons and playing drums.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my BA in Music with a Jazz Emphasis from UW Whitewater and have been an educator for more than 20 years. Along with being a teacher I am also the director for the MYSO Jazz Studies Program and perform as an artist and band leader for ACA Entertainment and Music and North Coast Management.
