About

I am currently taking students of all ages and levels for private or group lessons. I teach out of my home in Milwaukee as well as in home upon request. I am also available for Skype/Zoom/Facetime/Hangout online lessons.

I have been teaching for 15 years and currently am teaching jazz drum set at UW Whitewater and coaching the Tosa East and Kettle Moraine Arts High School Percussion ensembles. I am also on faculty at the Milwaukee Jazz Institute.

Mission Statement of the Devin Drobka Drum Studio:

The goal of the Devin Drobka Drum Studio is to educate, train, and develop students to excel in music as a career as well as a fun creative release.

Developing the musicianship of all my students is the foundation of my curriculum. I believe that the lessons and qualities derived from that work—the self-discipline needed for excellence, the empathy required of music making, and the openness and inquisitiveness essential to creativity—are critical to achievement in any pursuit, musical or otherwise, and that music is a powerful catalyst for personal growth, which is central to any experience

" Devin was a former student of mine at Berklee and one of my best. He was and remains, a serious, inquisitive, committed student, firmly grounded in the tradition, but open to what might be possible as the tradition evolves and changes with each generation… not only is Devin a catalyst of that change… he is " the next generation…"
