About
I can provide with you with a comprehensive way to approach drums and percussion, and can take you deeper into the world of jazz drumming! I've been studying for 15+ years and have a BA in music. I play in many groups, spanning from comtemporary percussion to funk and jazz groups. Music is for community and can be truly fulfilling to study!
Performing music is incredible, but teaching is just as beneficial for the student as it is the teacher. Working alongside a student to achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Music tastes range from person to person, so its beneficial to first find out what kind of music a student likes to learn or listen to. As soon as somebody can it is vital to make that kind of music with friends or anyone else!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied at UWM for a BA degree in music, and have studied privately with many experts in the area. I've played many shows ranging from funk, jazz, classical, and rock. Every genre is music, and everything is beneficial to learn.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge 40 dollars for an hour, but can be flexible depending on how long the lessons go for!
How did you get started teaching?
It all starts with word of mouth! Meeting people through playing live shows allowed me to find other musicians looking to study with me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with elementary schoolers to adults. Both percussionists and drumset players! My main study is jazz drumming.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Amongst the pandemic, I've still been lucky enough to have a few gigs and performances. I am fond of every performance I get to give during these times.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student needs to ask themselves what they want through music, and why they make music itself. It's a question you may not be able to answer for many years, but those are always the best questions!
