Connor M. says, "Steve has played a tremendous role in the progress I've made as a guitar player. Lessons with him are enjoyable, rewarding, and low stress. He is a good listener; he pays attention to my playing and my questions, and provides valuable feedback. The work he gives me between lessons is always challenging, but reasonable, keeping me motivated and keeping the momentum going on improving my technique and musicality. He plays beautifully and seems to genuinely enjoy discussing all things related to music and the guitar." Read more

I take a uniquely personal approach to every one of my clients. I make sure to know something about each of my students, and assess, as I go along, what I think would work best for them. I understand the importance of getting to know individual learning styles. How individuals learn is, essentially, the bridge between what is being relayed and what is being received. I enjoy getting to know a variety of people who share my interests. I enjoy relaying my passion for music and playing the piano....

Josh J. says, "Our daughters (11 and 13) have been taking lessons with Lou for over 5 years. He is an incredible musician and teacher. He is great with the kids in that he teaches at a level that they can understand and follow, and will help them learn songs they're interested in. He also has a great ability to read their moods, redirect fussy kids, and get them ready to play. I was a bit worried at first about doing online lessons, but Lou’s ear for music is so good that he can pick up a missed note in a song, even over the computer. The online technology that he uses for lessons is easy to use -- it's just like having him in the same room. Our 11 year old says, “I like that his lessons are clear and he is very nice.” Our 13 year old says, “He is nice and gives feedback that is useful to help me improve.”" Read more

Pha Roah – Guitar Instructor Pha Roah, undoubtedly is the best guitar instructor that I’ve come across. I started learning to play the guitar in my mid 60’s and I’ve had two other instructors prior to my meeting with Pha Roah. I came across home while searching on-line at www.tsma.fun for a new instructor. My first contact with him was by phone, and after a brief conversation, I immediately felt that he was the right instructor for me. Although I felt this way, I still wanted to meet with him in person to satisfy my curiosity about his knowledge and experience of guitars, playing/teaching of guitars, and music in general. Our first meeting in person lasted for well over an hour, unlike my first meeting with my other two previous instructors which lasted just 15 – 20 minutes. After that meeting it became apparent that he was going to be my new instructor. I was very confident about his ability and trusted him - no regrets!!! Pha Roah’s theoretical, practical and technical knowledge, together with his experience in music, more so in the art of play the guitar and his patience in teaching makes him a great instructor. He is passionate about guitars and very enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge of playing the guitar. Pha Roah has the right approach and is very methodical in the way he teaches. He does not limit his students to one type of music, but expose his students to a variety of guitar music like jazz, funk, rock, classic, blues, reggae etc. This is great because it gives students like me the confidence to be able to fit into a variety of music groups. As an instructor, Pha Roah communicates in a clear and concise manner, sets attainable goals, keeps track of skill development and progress, and provides weekly feedbacks. He guides his student along the path of playing, listening/hearing and proper timing. These qualities put together makes him an outstanding instructor. Nick
