About
I've trained State Champions and dozens of youth that have qualifed for the USATF National Junior Olympics. I train to peak at the right time and I have never overcoached any of my runners (ZERO serious injuries).
I love working with kids and helping them to acheive their goals. I've seen so many kids who don't fit in with other sports but want to be involved find success in running. I had one girl who couldn't even make the middle school basketball team who went on and was an All-State runner in the 800 meter run.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always offer the first lesson for free. I believe that if a student wants to try out running for the first time, it shouldn't be paid for. In the past, 93.6% of kids who try the first practice out end up joining the team. The first practice typically has the kids try an easier workout to see their abilities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
USATF Certified
10X All State Runner
High School and Middle School XC/Track Coach Experience
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Essentially, the more runners I have taking classes at a time the lower the price is. I also charge a $10 travel fee if outside of the typical practice location (RHS Fields) that is divided by the number of runners. Here is the price breakdown:
1 Runner : $15/Practice or $100 a month
2 Runners: $12/Practice or $85
3-4 Runners: $10/Practice or $70 a month
5-8 Runners: $8/Practice or $55 a month
9-12 Runners: $6/Practice or $40 a month
13-15 Runners: $5/Practice or $35 a month
16-20 Runners: $4/Practice or $30 a month
How did you get started teaching?
I was a Track and XC coach for a Rec Center and decided that I wanted to give kids from lower income families the chance not only to run at the city leve but the national level. So I created a team that
What types of students have you worked with?
Kids 6+
I try to break up classes to have a 6-8 gropu and a 9+ group, but it really is ability based. I've had some 8 year olds run in the older group and some 11 year olds start in the younger group.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Having a runner break the USATF Region 11 (Utah, Idaho, Montana and Nevada) mile record for 8 year olds.
