I have the following skill sets as an experienced professional: Experience teaching all levels of golf skills and ages; Ability to communicate effectively all aspects of the game; Knowledge of the order in which fundamentals should be taught; Experience diagnosing and understanding students' weaknesses and strengths; Ability to make the game of golf interesting and fun.
See a smiling face on a student after a very successful lesson is my ultimate enjoyment of instructing.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The student has goals and objectives. My task is to discover those from my initial interview and design the training to meet those objectives. For a beginning golfer I start with the basics to ensure the student can advance to a higher level. For the more advanced golfer we train to understand swing errors and the process to correct the errors.
How did you get started teaching?
I have had a love for golf for many years. In 2003 when I left an Information Technology management position and retired from the Arizona National Guard I made a conscious decision to work in a field I loved. I have not been disappointed and have had many rewarding experiences since then.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from ages 3 to 83. In that range there have been beginning students who never touched a golf club to students who have played for many years and are trying to improve to make their game more enjoyable.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I instructed a student who was a good golfer. On championship courses he would generally shoot in the low 80's. After 3 lessons he shot a 75 at Seville. It was his best round ever. He then went on to win his flight at the Seville senior championship with a 77-76. I have been been instructing a junior for 9 years who now has a full ride golf scholarship to a Division I University.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A perspective student should acquire background information on the instructor. Lessons handles this very well by showing the number of times an instructor was hired on Lessons and reviews to represent the quality of their work. Over the past five years I have taught over 3000 successful lessons.
