Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It depends on the age. We teach from 6 months to adults. We teach Infant swim rescue.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My coaching staff and I have over 100 years of coaching experience. I have been teaching ISR for 18 years and have taught over 500 babies to swim. I also have a swim team that we have every age of swimmer. We teach technique skills and compete in USA swim meets and also have a pre competitive team as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We charge $150.00 for 8 20 min lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a swimmer from age of 4-18 and went to the Olympic time trails and made it in the 50 free, 100 free and 200 IM. I started a competitive team over 20 years ago and it is going strong and we have swimmers that have gone to olympic time trials.
What types of students have you worked with?
All students from the age of 6 months to 79 years old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Just being able to see that we taught a child or adult to swim and not drown in a pool.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they dont keep you coming back. It should not take that long to teach a baby, child or adult to swim or rescue themselves.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Find out what they plan to teach your swimmer.
