About
My sessions are all about You the golfer and your goals. I have been coaching for over 20 years, and I continue to learn so that I can be the best for each student. I’m at the Freedom Golf course - grass range with Pro v1’s to use to practice.
I enjoy meeting and working with all golfers whether young & mature, or New and experienced! My reward is seeing golfers learn strategies that allow them to play better golf, and importantly have FUN while playing this great game!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With New Students we spend time in an interview - this for me to get to know the student and for the student to get to know me. This involves questions on your golf experience, other sport history, your short term and long term goals for golf, along with a physical assessment. We would then either play a few golf holes, or you would begin to hit a few golf balls. There would then be a short game assessment or full swing assessment based on what you would like to achieve. From this, we can then create a game plan for your goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Titleist Performance Institute - golf fitness level III, Golf Coach Level III, Golf Biomechanics Level II, Junior Golf Coach Level III. (www.mytpi.com)
Opti Brain trainer certified
K-vest Level II certified

How did you get started teaching?
Played golf professionally for 6 years - always realized I was going to be a teacher, so when the LPGA offered the best education to be a golf instructor, I went that route.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with Mini Tour players, low handicap players (one of 4 coaches in the Province of British Columbia as a Provincial Coach running Player Development programs for elite athletes.) mid and high handicap players, New Golfers, Juniors! I have worked with all levels - my instruction is taylored to the individual, so if they like video or using high tech, I can do that with 2d and 3d equipment.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Interview the teacher - find out if it is a match to what you are looking for. Find someone who will listen to you and deliver to you what you want!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is it that you want to walk away with after a 30 or 60 minute lesson? What specifically about your golf game would you like to improve?
If you come to the lesson knowing exactly what you want to improve upon, and the instructor listens and provides that, then you can walk away with a game plan on how to achieve your goals.
