I started teaching English as a Foreign Language and after moving to the U.S. in 2010 began teaching golf at an indoor golf academy.
I've always loved teaching and golf, so when I had the opportunity to combine the two, I relished the chance to be able to enjoy both as a vocation.

Beginners to Advanced.
Kids as young as 2
Ladies aged 30+ beginning for the first time

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
After 5 beginner lessons I organised for a student to play out on the course. This student, only 6 years, old played her 2nd hole, lights out, landing her 2nd shot in the greenside bunker. After playing out of the bunker and 2 putting for a bogey, she turned to me as said "I can do better than that."
When I looked over at her grandparents who were driving the cart along side us, it looked like their smiles were going to take over their faces.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire someone with kids teaching experience. Golf can be a bit daunting to take up for the first time. It has to be fun with lots of games and fun.
You don't have to buy equipment to start. Hire someone who provides equipment (which is the correct size) to start.
Coach should be encouraging, patient, inspiring, fun and knowledgable.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I don't think students need to think through questions. They should discuss all questions with thier teachers about all their needs.
