Valley Tennis Club

Hi, my name is Lennert Lemahieu, and I’m a fun, dedicated local Glendale tennis coach with a strong international and collegiate tennis background. I’m originally from Belgium, where I grew up training in a competitive European tennis environment that helped me develop a solid technical foundation and disciplined work ethic. I now compete in college tennis at Arizona Christian University, training and playing in a demanding, high-level setting that continues to shape me both as a player and a coach.

My experience combining European tennis development with U.S. college tennis has helped me grow physically, mentally, and tactically, and this blend strongly influences my coaching approach. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on coaching experience working with players of various ages and skill levels—from beginners learning the fundamentals to competitive juniors and adults focused on improving consistency, match play, fitness, and confidence on court. I currently work with around 10 regular clients, allowing me to build strong relationships and tailor training to each player’s individual goals.

In addition to private lessons, I also own and operate Valley Tennis, a coaching program that offers structured clinics designed to help players improve in a fun, competitive, and supportive group environment. Running my own program has given me valuable experience in organizing sessions, managing groups, and creating purposeful training plans.

My coaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, efficient movement, and smart decision-making, all within a structured, positive, and encouraging training environment. I place a strong focus on clear communication, making sure players understand not just what we are working on, but why it matters for their long-term improvement. I bring a professional, disciplined, and player-focused mindset to every lesson, while still making training enjoyable and motivating.

I currently teach tennis lessons in the Glendale area and am willing to travel up to 10 miles to a court near you.
