What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, run them through some drills to get a feel for what it is that we need to work on first. The most imporatant thing is making sure you have the basics down before ever moving on to anything else.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Played Football and Baseball in High School, then went on to play Baseball all 4 years of College at a Divison 1 program. Have been playing golf my entire life.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always been a coach when I wasn't playing. Started coaching high school the summer after my final year of college Baseball.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, all different skill sets
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you get along well with your coach and you can communicate with them. The worst thing you can do if you have a personal coach is not feel comfortable enough to talk to them and tell them what it is that you don't like or don't feel great about yet.
