The one on one relationships with my students, watching their faces and smiles when they learn something new, have a swing breakthrough or start hitting shots they have never experienced before.
After spending so many years managing and operating a golf course and being indoors a lot of the time it is nice to spend a lot of time outdoors (especially when the weather is nice).

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I listen to my students about what they wish to change, improve & achieve. I base my instruction on improvement or correction of the basic golf skills like grip, posture and alignment. How did you get started teaching?
Through the 80's as a PGA Assistant professional working with and under fellow PGA teaching and golf professionals on the driving range and in the classroom through PGA Business Schools to understand ball flight laws, golf swing mechanics (cause & effect), coaching & personal communication.
What types of students have you worked with?
Juniors, women, men, low handicap, mid handicap, professional, high handicap or beginner, I have and I will work with and help improve all golfers of varying playing abilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a member that was so unhappy about the current status of his golf game that he was thinking about giving up his membership at the club. We worked together for a month or so and he was much happier and kept his membership and has even been playing more rounds of golf.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Meet with teachers and make sure you are comfortable and feel confident the he/she understands your golf game goal(s) and improvement needs and that he/she can professionally communicate and provide ideas, thoughts and drills for improvement.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be realistic and patient on what you want to achieve and think about how much time you will be able to commit to your learning and improvement.
"Golf - You get out of it what you put into it"
"Play golf to learn, and then learn more about playing golf"
