Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have had great success working with my students to understand the short strokes-putting and chipping and how the big swing is just a bigger version of the short stroke-especially chipping and pitching strokes to the full swing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The PGA Tour helped me a lot-playing with the best players in the world and working with world-class teachers like Ed Oldfield, Arch Watkins, Craig Williamson and Johny Bulla. They taught me the fundamentals that are still taught to the great PGA and LPGA Tour players of today.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For first time students, my fee is 1/2 my normal fee:
$60 30-minutes
$80 45-minutes
$100 60 minutes
$145 90 minutes
How did you get started teaching?
I got injured while playing the PGA Tour and worked at a club in Scottsdale. I always liked to help my friends and pass on what i learned from my teachers. It was a natural thing for me. I love helping others learn to play the gam and to play it better.
What types of students have you worked with?
From beginners and people with disablities to Mens and Womens NCAA Champions (Jimmy Carter-Mikaela Parmlid), 2 Players of the year (Lorena Ochoa-Mikaela Parmlid), LPGA and PGA Winners, including Tom Purtzer and Steve Jones, US Open Champion and many other amateur and professional winners.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
In looking for a great teacher, i would look for experience and someone who has played the game at a high level.
