I have been a performing and teaching vocalist for over 3 decades. I've worked with some of the most well-recognized professionals and have taught and performed with many prestigious musical organizations. I have sung in 9 different countries and I'm proficient in all musical genres. I hold a Doctorate in Music and have won numerous awards and scholarships throughout my career. Most of all, I have a passion for music that informs all of my endeavors. My teaching involves imparting that passion to my students as they receive a world class musical education, no matter what level they have currently achieved.

I derive my greatest joy from helping someone to discover (or sometimes re-discover) his/her/their true voice, something that ignites a joy and passion for music within them. My favorite moments with a student is seeing that happen and watching a light go on from inside that can never be extinguished.

Dr. Gregory Amerind is extremely professional and knowledgeable in his field. He is pleasant to work with and enjoys working with his students. Taking voice lessons has increased my daughters voice range, quality, and overall vocal performance and Dr. Amerind has a large part to do with this. He lets students pick their own songs but also picks songs for them that will challenge them vocally, a nice combination. We have really enjoyed learning from him and would highly recommend taking lessons from him.

Gregs lessons were incredibly insightful. I was having a lot of trouble with my technique, such as finding and strengthening my head voice and learning to bridge. Within a few months, I was able to sustain notes I hadnt been able to reach in years. Greg introduced me to a number of exercises and pieces that helped me grow as a singer, and he helped me identify and reverse some bad vocal habits. He is a true pleasure to work with.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always begin with a free consultation. This usually takes between 20-30 minutes and allows us to get better acquainted and for me to assess your current level of development and discuss your overall goals before proceeding with any instruction.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Degrees in Music Education (BM), Vocal Performance, (MM) and Choral Conducting (DMA) 40+ Years as a professional in both performance and education.
