About

I focus on the technique behind dancing so that injuries won’t arise in my students future. I also focus on the artistry of dance, encouraging my students to have passion in their movement whether they feel at their most comfortable or not we are all here to dance.#fortheloveofdance

I love being able to connect with others and help them develop their skills. Working with my students several times a week over the course of a few months to a year really shows their potential and growth and I’m very proud to be a factor in making that happen for them.

Frequently asked questions

I have over 5 years of teaching dance experience. I have worked with various ages from 3-40 year olds in a multitude of techniques. In addition to my hands on experience, I also studied dance for over 20 years and spent 4 years earning my bachelors of fine arts degree in dance at Radford University. There I learned how to expand my teaching skills and further my understanding of both performance and choreography skills.

I base my rates on providing a space to rehears. I have 3 locations accessible for me and my students to use so depending on the location depends on the pricing of the session. This is because I am paying to use a studio space as well as compensation for myself for teaching the lesson which may cause some rates to be higher than others.

i started teaching as an assistant at the dance studio I grew up with. When I was a senior in high school, they offered me a full year teaching position there to further my career. I loved it so much I stuck with it throughout my college years and now even today!

I’ve worked with ages 3-40. Mainly women but have taught men before. In terms of skill levels I’ve worked with everything from beginner to advanced and am prepared to both challenge my students as well as being a nurturing/support system to them in class.

Just make sure that you both understand the price/schedule so that everyone uses their time wisely and no time is wasted. I would also say make sure you really connect with your teacher because they will be in charge of your lessons from here until you decide to stop taking classes with them. If you don’t like them from the first lesson don’t continue taking from them if you feel that it will affect your learning abilities

Injuries is one of the main priorities we teachers like to be aware of but also just letting us know what specifically you are wanting To gain from your lessons? That way we have a goal in mind and can work towards it.
