About

Dance has been my passion since before I could walk. I have always been involved in the Dance industry with muscials, instruments, and most of all dance. I have been through many obstacles that inspire myself and others to keep following my dreams. Such as: massive weight loss, moving to LA all alone, and providing for myself for the past two years. I have experience in all styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop/Jazz Funk, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre.

I began teaching while I was still a studnet at my studio back home. I would teach the younger kids in return for free lessons, and have been teaching ever since. I enjoy being bale to help a student progress in the art of dance see the achievement and happiness that comes along their face when that happens as well :)

As far as dance goes, I have been successful from a young age. I was awarded many solo awards and scholarships for conventions and competitions. I was a PULSE Protege for The PULSE Dance convention where I was able to audition for Elite Protege, assisting faculty members such as Brian Friedman, Tyce Diorio, Ian Eastwood, and many more. I have worked with mutiple artists for live events and music videos, as well as awards shows and FX hit TV Show American Horror Story.

My Facebook and Instagram are where most people keep up with my journey! You can find my personal and profressional page on Facebook under "Gage Wayne" and my Instagram at "@gagewayne_"

What I enjoy most about my work, is seeing the improvement and the excitement of the student when they have overcome a task they want to achieve so much, and knowing that I had a part in making that happen. I love seeing people pursue their dreams and get to where they want to be. It so inspiring and keeps me wanting to stay on my game as well!

Frequently asked questions

When working with a new student, I first begin with a nice talk. I want to get to know a little of their background, and what they enjoy. I want to see what they want to learn, what they want to do with dance, etc. There is a different between teaching someone who is wanting to do this professionally and someone who is doing this as a hobby, but I will ensure they will be the best that they can be. I always start slow, it may seem like I am not getting a lot done, at first but I would rather them leave feeling accomplished with two things that failing multiple things in a class.

I have recived training from the areas most presigious instructora and choreographers. Both here in Los Angeles and back in Ohio. My knowledge is a build off of what I have been taught and continues to grow everyday. Those that I have worked with have very successful careers and I put my full trust in them and that I can share what I have been taught.

Yes, I do charge by the hour. Lessons would be minimum 1 hrs long to provide time for a proper warm up, the lesson, and cool down as well. My rates are as follows:

If you are inquring about a private lesson:

1 Hr: $45

For those inquiring for classes with multiple students:

2-4 students: $70 hr ($18-$35 per students)

5+ students : $100 hr

I started teaching when I was 14 years old at my studio in Ohio. I started with the younger children and began working with the competition kids as I got older. From there I ventured off to my other studios in the area where I began teaching other competitive students and setting award winning choreography for their studios. I teach at a local studio in Santa Clarita as well to kids of all ages.

I have worked with students as young at 4 all the way up to adults. I have a wide range and know when what area is best for their student.

I have been at the studio Im currently at since I moved to LA. I have grown in the matter of teaching since being there and every week I leave being so happy because of the improvement of my students. They are stronger dancers, more confident dancers, more professional dancers, and so much more. I have a very unique style to my dancing and they have done so well as to pick it up over time and never give up!

Every student learns differently and every teacher teaches differently. Do your research and find who you think you will benefit the most from. It is possible that your student may not like taking from me, AND THAT IS TOTALLY OKAY! They have a teacher out there for them who is a better fit!
