Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If it's a private lesson I will get to know about them, their experience, what styles and music they like, any injuries I need to be aware of etc. I warm them up and gage where they are at physically. And go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 13 years dance experience in ballet, modern, contemporary, and jazz. I trained instensively at ballet summer camps and ballet schools. I then went AMDA and got my certificate in dance theater.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For a private my rate is $60 and hour plus a rental fee which varies on studios or gyms. If it's over a 20 mile trip one way I add an additional $10 gas stipend. I do negotiate.

I started teaching in high school to the younger girls as well as high school students at the primary dance studio I trained at.
