Volleyball training is offered in your home or a sand court near you. All equipment is provided to encourage agility, speed, control and overall skills in a tough and focused learning environment. Evolve is determined to change the Infant Death Rate in California by offering the BEST swim training in Los Angeles. All Evolve client's will begin with a simple introduction evaluation. This allows the coaching staff to design the appropriate training plan for each client to continue training.
Coach Williams began swimming at age of 11. At age 13 she competed at the Oregon 4A State Championship meet, ranking 8th in Backstroke. She continued to train on club and school teams through Middle and High school. She went on to compete at the State Championship meet as a Junior and as a Senior, contributing in Backstoke for both qualifying relay teams. After graduating High School with Honorable Mention awards and one of the Top Female competitors, she gained a position Coaching the JV swim team at Sunset High School in Tigard, OR. At that time Coach Williams was often seen jumping in the pool with her team to practice, all while being pregnant in her second trimester.
Coach Megan began playing volleyball at age of 8. She continued to compete on club and school teams through Middle and High school, finding her position as a setter and her title as a team captain. She was honored with several awards ranging from the Gatorade Will to Win Award, being Honored at the Breakfast of Champions and being chosen as Volleyball representative for the Athletic Advisory Counsel by the head Varsity volleyball coach as a Sophomore. After transfering into two different high school's her Junior and Senior year, Megan walked on to the Varsity Volleyball team at Reynold's High School in 2003, when at the time, Reynold's was the biggest school in the state. Her Senior year her team went on to compete at the 4A State competition where her team ranked 7th. After graduating HS Megan began volunteering for club and high school teams before finding employment as the JV Vollleyball Coach at Oregon Episcopal School. The following year she became the Assistant Varsity Coach. After relocating to Los Angeles CA, Coach Megan found a position at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, coaching the Freshman Team. Later she began coaching for San Gabriel Elite Volleyball Club. Later she would go on to help out over summer at La Canada High School, Coached a club volleyball season with Club West and another with LA Premier.
Swimming Lesson Prices:
20 minutes / $35, 30 minutes / $45 and 45 minutes is $60. These courses range in difficulty for the beginner swimmer and the advanced swimmer, or those looking for a water aerobic exercise.
Groups: (3-4 students permitted) Parent Participation Required!
Water Safety Course: 40 minutes
$30 per swimmer/parent. This course is designed for beginner swimmers to gain comfort in the water in a fun and explorative environment. This class will encourage song and the use of toys when teaching your little ones how to paddle, kick, blow bubbles, tread and float in the water.
Due to Megan's competative background in swimming she decided to gain employment at the Clackamas Aquatic Park, her very first job, where she would be a lifeguard. She saved eight lives that summer (2002). Coach Williams began teaching in 2003, shortly after graduating from High School while volunteering for a local youth club volleyball team and the Beaverton High School Varsity Volleyball team. Megan knew she wanted to continue to be involved in sports and athletics which is why she went on to get a certificate to practice Massage Therapy in 2005. This desire to help others fueled her ambition to gain a certificate as a physical therapy aid and chirpractic assistant.
Coach Williams has worked with students of all ages and skill sets. Megan has been invited into some of Hollywood's biggest A-List Celebrity homes to teach swimming. Coach Megan has also volunteered her time for a local martial arts studio where she offered swim lessons to students enrolled in the after school care program. At that time Megan was responsible for providing safety for all students, deliver discipline to those who were not following the rules, as well as accomodate to children with some learning or developmental disabilities.
Almost every time Coach Megan gets in the pool with a student she is overwhelmed with pride when witnessing her students gain skills and overcome hardships in the water. Witnessing a childs reaction after succeeding at something that may have been difficult physically or even mentally can be such a powerful experience. So when students call Coach Megan years after being under her training, often brings tears of joy for Coach Williams who wants nothing more than to change lives and even save lives in one way or another.
