What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When beginning private lessons, we would asses your level and recommend the material that would best suit your abilities and interests. This can be assessed either prior to our first lesson via discussion or within the first few minutes of our lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been performing for over 30 years and teaching privately for over 20 years. I have performed Jazz, Pop, Rock n' Roll, R&B, Classical, Latin among other styles of music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lesson tuition is $150 for four 30 minute lessons. Longer lessons are available upon request and availability. The lesson tuition would be due prior to our first lesson and is payable via Zelle, Venmo, and PayPal. If students wish to continue lessons, future lesson tuition payments would be due at lesson #4, with an invoice going out at lesson #3, making the fourth lesson either a renewal or final lesson. There is no obligation to continue past four lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching private lessons in August of 2001 at a local music store that needed to replace their sax instructor. Since then, I have taught hundreds of students from 8 years old to 80 years old, all with different skill levels, interests, and abilities.
