About
I bring my background as an Early Childhood Educator to the instruction of music. I approach each student, regardless of age or level, as a unique individual and tailor their lessons specifically to their musical development and wishes for what they want to accomplish. My passion and love for music and teaching make every lesson a joy!
Music, music, music!!!!! Nothing gives me more joy than watching a student light up when they make break throughs as pianists or singers!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I asses their level if they have had prior music lessons. I then tailor their curriculum to what style of music they want to focus on and where they are developmentally (age, level, etc.). I discuss a practice plan with parents or with student if they are an adult and then we take off!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Human Development, Early Childhood Education, I also hold a Teacher level permit from the California Department of Education, and I have a Piano Teaching Certificate from Fullerton College (30 units of advanced music study). I was my son's first piano teacher and he went on to be accepted to college music programs with piano scholarships. I am an active member of the Music Teachers of California association (MTAC).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge a flat fee of 130.00 dollars for a four week month of 30 minute lessons. Absences that are excused can be made up in months with a fifth week.
How did you get started teaching?
As I've mentioned I was my son's homeschool teacher and part of his education was music lessons with me. Friends and family who observed my work with my son started asking me if I would teach their children piano and voice. It morphed into my desire to become a full time music teacher and share my passion with more students.
What types of students have you worked with?
From the youngest beginners to advanced adolecents and like wise beginning adults to adults with some playing experience who are returning to the practice of piano and voice.
