Played 2 years for PCAC powerhouse San Diego Mesa College finishing with a 45-21 record in singles and doubles helping the Olympians to its 3rd and 4th consecutive conference titles; his sophomore year was his finest year earning a 23-8 record in singles and 16-7 in doubles while finishing in the top 40 in the state.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It all depends on their needs, level and abilities. Beginners I tend to focus on technique and make sure they have a solid foundation that will serve them well in the future. Intermediates and above I focus more on stroke production, strategy and game play.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in marketing from Campbellsville University.

I charge $70 per hour. $40 for advanced hitting only sessions
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching kids camps when I was 18 years old. I have been teaching for 11 years now. Some of my last employers include the La Jolla Tennis Club and The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with everybody from little kids to beginner adults to serious tournament players. I can do it all
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I still compete in local tournaments and in my last tournament I friended out a 3 hour 3 set won. I am a fighter and I never give up. I pass this type of mentality onto my students
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who can teach you good technique especially if you are a beginner. It’s very important to be grounded in good habits otherwise it will hold you back in the long run
