I like how it is a family like atmosphere. Sensei Prince really is a good teacher of the art and the students really learn from him at their own pace. He doesn’t push for them to be a certain rank by a certain time. I love the whole earn you rank concept where the Sensei is truly about teaching the art and not here to make a quick buck.

Such a professional dojo as well as a family connected community. Highly recommended to all who want to gain a wonderful family and instill important morals and life values into yours or your childs life.

The Dojo has an unique feeling of respect. Pretty much felt like Daniel learning from Mr Miyagi and I loved it!

The philosophy and teachings make sense. You learn not just techniques but the reasons behind them in more concrete, scientific examples. The foundation is based on not only the physical abilities but also your spirit and character. We are all expect to be respectful and try our best. Performance is individualized. If you have limitations, they find away to work around it if not with it. You learn substitute moves or actions to protect yourself and increase your potential. The ultimate lesson is making the best version of yourself, and Shugykan is willing to help you if you are willing to work.

This is a great place to learn self defense, and it also builds great character. The instructor is a very good person and is willing to help with anything you need along with other classmates that are experienced, definitely reccomend trying this place out.
