Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students get their first private lesson for only $65 and then have the chance to buy a package of discounted lessons if they decide to continue! Come and try it out - You won't be disappointed.
On the first lesson we will be discussing goals, needs, previous dance experience and/or any special events that you are preparing for. Every lesson I teach is planned, structured and it is important for me to know how I can serve you best so that you get the most out of every lesson. You will be able to get an idea of the dance space, my style of teaching and most important if you enjoy dancing! At the end of the lesson we will discuss on how to continue the lessons and what package option is going to set you up for success based on your schedule and the desired goal.

How did you get started teaching?
My sister took me to a dance class she was teaching at a local recreation center when I was 13 years old. I got hooked after the first lesson! I kept my training consistently and with time dancing became one of the most important things in my life. I started taking classes from world-renowned dance teachers, went to dance intensives in Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and France. As my dancing got better I started substituting my sisters' dance classes on a regular base and started building my teaching portfolio. After finishing college in Germany I moved to Los Angeles to fulfill my dream to study dance in the US. I continued my teaching career after I graduated in Dance from Glendale College and I'm eager to share my passion and knowledge with anybody who wants to learn!
What types of students have you worked with?
I'm focusing on teaching beginners and people who have never danced before in their life but I have worked with clients from all walks of life(Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced). My youngest students were starting at age 4 and the oldest student I'm still teaching on a regular base is 86 years old. He's successfully learning Ballroom dance. I also have experience teaching students with disabilities (autism, ADHD etc.)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I taught my student Don Edwards a choreography to a poem he wrote. His friends helped him create a song that fits to his poem and he started recording it professionally. It was an honor to create something that artistic from the ground up, choreographing and teaching a piece to a 65-year old person that has never danced before but is an artist in his own rights. The whole process took us about 3 months of learning and perfecting it. At the end of 3 month I was there guiding him when he professionally recorded the poem that he wrote.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It's important to understand that becoming a decent dancer who feels comfortable on the dance floor requires consistent dance training that is progressive, structured and fun. You should leave every class with a smile on your face and sense of accomplishment. Only then you can become the dancer that you always wanted to be!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Find out about what it is that you really want to accomplish and make sure that the instructor you are choosing is tailoring every lesson to your needs so you will be able to reach your desired goal in an efficient manner.
If you have any questions about the process please feel free to reach out to us.
